Endako moly mill achieves commercial output

Thompson Creek Metals Co. Inc. has achieved commercial production at the new mill at its Endako molybdenum mine in British Columbia.

The mill was started up in early January, a company spokeswoman told AMM in an e-mail.

Full production is on track to be achieved in the second quarter and "is expected to increase molybdenum production (at Endako) from approximately 10 million pounds per year to approximately 16 million pounds per year," Kevin Loughrey, chairman and chief executive officer of Thompson Creek, said in the statement.
