Domestic manganese alloy producer Eramet Marietta Inc., a subsidiary of France’s Eramet Group, has said proposed emissions rules for ferroalloys production by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) would lead to "massive, unjustified costs."
These costs would "far exceed Eramet’s average net margin per ton over the past three years" and mean the facility would be unable to compete with foreign producers who are not subject to such rules,...
