Lower ferrous scrap costs from US and European suppliers have led Turkish billet exporters to reduce their prices by $15 per tonne, according to Turkish market participants.
HMS 1&2 (80:20) has been sold this week at $415-425 per tonne cfr Turkey, down by $15 per tonne from $430-440 cfr last week.
Weak demand for billet and rebar has slowed down scrap purchasing this week, Metal Bulletin was told.
