DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Prices fall again as first batch of ex-Europe cargoes are fixed

Metal Bulletin’s Daily Ferrous Scrap Index continued its decline on Thursday February 9, reaching $421.19 per tonne cfr Iskenderun on an HMS 1&2 (80:20) basis, from $423.25 a day earlier.
One mill was reported as booking four cargoes yesterday, all from suppliers within Europe.
A mixed cargo of 22,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (70:30) and 10,000 tonnes of shredded was sold at $407.50 and $432 per tonne cfr, respectively.
A second mixed cargo including 25,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (70:30), 500 tonnes of cut rebar and 2,500 tonnes of broken steel was sold at $406 per tonne cfr average price,...
