Turkish rebar mills cut export prices by $10 on lower scrap prices

Turkish rebar exporters have reduced prices by $10 per tonne on softening ferrous scrap costs as they try to entice deals from consumers in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
Demand for rebar remains weak and sales to the Mena region have dwindled.
Rebar has been changing hands this week at $640-650 per tonne fob main Turkish port for February production compared with $650-660 fob previously.
Several major Turkish rebar producers have kept their offers at $655 fob despite weak demand.
