Teck to boost copper output as zinc falls

Teck Resources Ltd. expects to boost copper production this year but anticipates reduced zinc output, the Vancouver, British Columbia-based miner said as it reported record 2011 revenue.
To facilitate short- and long-term production boosts, Teck said it is moving forward with a number of proposed growth plans. "(We are) in a strong position to advance our various expansion projects," Lindsay said in a statement accompanying the company’s 2011 results.
