LKAB iron ore deliveries delayed by financial unrest in USA and Europe in Q4 2011

Swedish iron ore and pellet producer LKAB saw deliveries hampered by financial unrest in Europe and the USA in the fourth quarter of 2011, the company said in a results statement on Friday, February 10.

LKAB said that financial turmoil had not restricted its sales, but deliveries of iron ore products had been affected. The miner delivered a total of 25.7 million tonnes of iron ore products in 2011, down from 26 million tonnes the previous year. Fourth-quarter iron ore product deliveries...
