Teck reopening Quintette despite weak met coal demand

Teck Resources Ltd. said it plans to move forward with the reopening of its Quintette metallurgical coal mine in British Columbia, even as other companies note weakened demand and plan to reduce their output.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based miner is hopeful that demand for metallurgical coal from the steelmaking industry will improve in the second half of 2012, company executives said.
