US molybdenum prices rise, but ceiling said near

U.S. molybdenum prices have risen further on the back of improved demand, but some market participants see tags reaching a peak.

"You have to remember that there was a very big destocking at the end of last year," according to a second trader, who had seen sales rise significantly this past week.

So, here we go again. Another bank, another huge trade gone bad. This one doesn’t even appear to have been a case of rogue trading; a whole desk seems to have been operating with the full knowledge of the management and/or risk committee.
