Alcoa, CPI seal fabricated aluminum venture in China

Alcoa Inc. and China Power Investment Corp. (CPI) have finalized an agreement to form a joint-venture company that will produce high-end fabricated aluminum products in China.
Alcoa chairman and chief executive officer Klaus Kleinfeld and CPI president Lu Qizhou signed the agreement Tuesday in Beijing at the Great Hall of the People. Gary Locke, the U.S. ambassador to China, was also in attendance.
