Base metals were mixed in London Metal Exchange kerb trading on Wednesday February 22 as aluminium gained ground on its previous close and copper and nickel fell back.
Three-month aluminium finished the kerb at $2,281 per tonne compared with $2,252/253 per tonne in official trading and $2,255 per tonne at Tuesday’s close.
The light metal traded to an intraday high of $2,284.75 per tonne and dipped as low as $2,243 per tonne.
