The leading automobile manufacturers in the USA saw July sales rise by 9.1% compared with the same month in 2011, led by a surge in demand for Japanese cars.
July sales reached 991,570, with American Honda Motor Co, Toyota Motor Sales USA and Nissan North America posting year-on-year increases of 45.3%, 26.1% and 16.2%, respectively, as they rebounded from supply chain disruption caused by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
