China's NDRC wants to curb new aluminium capacity in Xinjiang
October 19, 2012 - 06:09 GMT
China’s central government authorities have said that the expansion of aluminium capacity in the country's northwestern Xinjiang region should be restricted, according to a report by local media.
A research team sent by China’s National
Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) presented their
conclusion from a tour in Xinjiang that reining
in aluminium capacity is a "major task" and that
controlling the overproduction of aluminium is a "must", the
China Securities Journal published on Friday October 19.
