DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkish mills receive higher offer from USA

An offer of composite steel scrap from the US to Turkey was heard on Wednesday January 2, with the HMS 1&2 (80:20) portion offered at more than $400 per tonne.
The cargo comprised 15,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20), 10,000 tonnes of shredded and 5,000 tonnes of bonus, a Turkish trader said.
US HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap trades at a $10 per tonne premium over the equivalent Baltic scrap, according to market sources.
