LME OFFICIALS: Base metals prices fall back near opening prices in officials

Base metals settled around their opening prices in the official session on the London Metal Exchange on Friday January 25, as prices continued to bounce around within recent ranges.

With no clear direction from macroeconomic indicators and with bears and bulls equally served, prices have trended this way all week. However, one analyst said that prices are broadly trending higher overall, and that the market was “comfortable putting in higher lows, as the ebb and flow of economic and central government issues pull prices back and forth,” according to a daily note....
