China cites compliance with WTO raw materials ruling

China has told the World Trade Organisation (WTO) that it has fully complied with a WTO dispute ruling striking down Chinese export restrictions on raw materials exports.
Two measures adopted shortly before the end of last year removed the export duties and export quotas at issue, bringing China into full compliance, Chinese officials told the WTO late on Tuesday January 28.
Trade diplomats from the US, the EU and Mexico said they are still concerned about China’s decision to require export licenses for the eight non-ferrous materials at issue.
