Chinese HRC export prices hold firm in face of weakening domestic market

China’s hot rolled coil export prices were unchanged for a second week on Monday August 26 as exporters remained steadfast in the face of a softening domestic HRC market.

Base export transaction prices for commercial-grade, boron-containing HRC were at $530-535 per tonne fob for October shipment, unchanged since Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First’s assessment on Friday August 16.
