Winners of Metal Bulletin's awards for aluminium excellence 2013

Metal Bulletin held its awards for aluminium excellence at its annual Aluminium Conference in Geneva on Wednesday September 18.

The awards, judged by Metal Bulletin’s panel of industry experts, recognise companies and people across the following categories: aluminium smelting company of the year; aluminium mill or fabricator of the year; aluminium’s rising star of the year for both people and companies; industry ambassador of the year; excellence in operational management for smelters and mills; the best brownfield or greenfield technology; and environmental responsibility. WINNERS Smelting Company of the Year: Dubai Aluminium Dubai Aluminium Company Limited (Dubal) says its goal is "to be one of the best companies in the global aluminium industry by 2020." Several initiatives have been launched to achieve this objective, from expansion programmes to process optimisation and customer services enhancements.
