Prices in the UK for stainless steel scrap solids have remained unchanged this week, as the price of nickel weakened again following a rise at the end of the year, market sources told Metal Bulletin sister title Steel First on Friday January 3.
Both UK domestically produced 18/8 solids and material
imported into Europe saw their prices go unchanged. The London
Metal Exchange's official three-month nickel bid/offer price
spread ended the week on $13,915/13,920 per tonne, down
