Mexico's Autlán takes control of energy company

Mexican manganese and ferro-alloys producer Minera Autlán has taken control of local energy firm Compañía de Energía Mexicana (CEM).

The transaction allows Autlán to become one of the lowest-cost producers in the industry, it said in a filing with Mexico’s stock exchange late on Thursday January 16. It did not reveal the transaction value, however. CEM is a subsidiary...
