DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Index flat on Turkish mills' absence

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap delivered to Turkey remained stable on Wednesday January 22, with mills in Turkey largely staying out of the global scrap markets.
The index closed at $391.52 per tonne cfr on Wednesday,
unchanged day-on-day. Mills were mostly suffering from the low
demand in the country's export and domestic markets, but were
also struggling with the continuing weakness of the lira
against the US dollar. The lira has been weakening...
