Ferro-manganese prices still rising on tighter supply, low stocks

Ferro-manganese prices continued to rise on Friday January 24 as supply tightened on low stocks and improving demand.
Ferro-manganese traded at €760-770 ($1,034-1,048) per
tonne on a delivered basis in Europe, compared with
€740-770 per tonne on January 17 and €720-750
previously. "I’m quite short of ferro-manganese
and it won’t harm me to lose a couple of sales,"
