LME OFFICIALS: Tin prices up $200 on weak Indonesian export statistics

Tin prices rose $200 on an official basis on the London Metal Exchange on Thursday February 13, on weak export statistics from Indonesia, tin’s largest exporter.
Three-month tin prices settled at $22,560/570 per tonne, up
from $22,360/370 in Wednesday’s officials, and up
almost $100 from the opening price of $22,469. "Exports from
Indonesia had been picking up steadily as more and more
producers were getting involved in the local exchange [as
required by Indonesia’s trade regulations], but
the January figures were disappointing and that was the spark
that has pushed the tin...
