DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Index down on weak Turkish demand

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap delivered to Turkey fell again on weak demand in the country, with only two deep-sea deals heard this week.
The index closed at $342.39 per tonne cfr on Friday February
28, down $6.44 per tonne day-on-day. There were two deep-sea
sales on Friday, according to sources. A steel mill in Izmir
booked a Belgium cargo, comprising 30,000 tonnes of HMS
