Tokyo Steel has further reduced its scrap purchase charges for deliveries to its main Utsunomiya works as prices continue to march firmly south.
Japan's largest electric arc furnace operator and de-facto
benchmark price-setter cut its charges to Utsunomiya by
¥500 ($5) per tonne effective February 28 deliveries. This
