DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Index weakens as Turkish mills hold off from market

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap material delivered to Turkey has fallen on weak demand in the country.
The index closed at $371.00 per tonne cfr on Wednesday April
16, down by $2.55 per tonne day-on-day. Mills in the country
went silent after completing a large number of bookings at the
beginning of the month. Only one European scrap cargo has been
heard sold so far this week. A steel producer in Izmir booked a
European cargo of 35,000 tonnes...
