DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Index falls with fresh US deal at softer price

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap delivered to Turkey fell with a fresh US cargo sold at the end of last week.
The index closed at $362.63 per tonne cfr on Monday July 14,
down by $2.85 per tonne day-on-day. One deal was heard in the
market on Friday July 11. A steel producer in Iskenderun booked
a US cargo, comprising 15,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at
$372 per tonne cfr and 30,000 tonnes of P&S (plate and
structural) at $388 per tonne cfr. There were several
