DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkey imports 13 scrap cargoes in past week

Metal Bulletin’s daily index for HMS 1&2 (80:20) scrap delivered to Turkey remained flat on Wednesday July 16 with a lack of fresh trades this week.
The index closed at $362.82 per tonne cfr, unchanged
day-on-day. No significant deep-sea deals have been heard so
far this week. However, more deals from last week were freshly
heard in the market on Wednesday. A steel producer in the
Marmara region booked a European cargo, comprising 30,000
tonnes of HMS 1&2 (75:25) at $360 per tonne and 10,000
tonnes of bonus scrap at $379.50 per tonne cfr, on July 10.
Another steel mill in Iskenderun booked a US cargo, comprising
25,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $372 per tonne, 15,000
tonnes of shredded at $377 per tonne, and 5,000 tonnes of bonus
scrap at $382 per tonne cfr, also on July 10. There were eleven
more cargoes booked...
