BHP Billiton’s copper output rises 2% in 2014

BHP Billiton’s copper output rose 2% to 1.7 million tonnes during the financial year 2014.
The increase came as better performance in mill throughput
and concentrator utilisation more than made up for grade
declines at several mines. Copper output in the second quarter
reached 470,000 tonnes, a 2% year-on-year increase, and a 14%
