Optional field trip to Airbus Toulouse plant

Headquartered in Toulouse, Airbus is a leading aircraft manufacturer with fully-owned subsidiaries in the USA, China, Japan and in the Middle East, spare parts centres in Hamburg, Frankfurt, Washington, Dubai, Beijing and Singapore, training centres in Toulouse, Miami, Hamburg and Beijing and more than 150 field service offices around the world.
Delegates will convene in Toulouse on the evening of September 6 for dinner and overnight stay, before touring Airbus plant, including a visit to the assembly floor accompanied by expert guides, the following morning.
Provisional itinerary
Metal Bulletin will arrange the accommodation on 6th September. However, delegates must make their own travel arrangements to Toulouse to arrive on Tuesday 6th September in good time for the dinner and their onward flight to Paris as indicated below.

11.00 Leave plant for Toulouse airport
15.30 Depart airport on flight EZY3964 for Paris
17.00 Arrive Paris

PRICE: 495 including dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at Pullman Hotel, Toulouse.
Travel to Toulouse is the responsibility of each delegate as is the flight from Toulouse to Paris. You are not restricted to taking this flight, but if you choose a different flight back to Paris it will be your responsibility to arrange your own transfer back to the hotel.
Places on the field trip are limited and are available on a first come basis.
Optional Field Trip to Rio Tinto Alcans Dunkerque smelter

Aluminium Dunkerkque was established in 1991 and inaugurated in 1992 and today has the capacity to produce more than 260,000 tonnes per year of aluminium
Delegates will convene at the Hotel Borel in Dunkerque, northern France, on the evening of September 6 for dinner and overnight stay. The following morning they will travel the short journey by bus to Aluminium Dunkerque for the smelter tour. After lunch hosted by Aluminium Dunkerque, they will return to Paris in time for conference registration and the welcome reception.

PRICE: 495 including dinner, overnight stay and breakfast at the Hotel Borel in Dunkerque as well as bus transfers in Dunkerque and Paris, and rail fare back to Paris.
NOTE: Places on the field trip are limited and are available on a first come basis.
You are not restricted to taking the train organized by Metal Bulletin, but if you choose another option, you will be responsible for the fare and your journey back to the hotel from Gare du Nord.
Health & Safety: No cameras allowed in the smelter. Pregnant women and anyone with pacemakers are not allowed access to the electrolysis plant. Delegates attending the field trip must provide shoe and jacket sizes (European format).
