Galaxy wholly-owns and operates the Mt Cattlin mine in Western Australia, which is currently producing spodumene concentrate and the lithium carbonate plant in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu
Province, PRC. Once completed, it will have a design capacity of 17,000 tpa of Battery Grade lithium carbonate, which Galaxy expects would make it one of the largest plants in China converting hard rock lithium mineral concentrates into lithium compounds and chemicals.
The processing plant is fully automated and designed to produce high purity lithium carbonate, from 99.5% to 99.99%. The plant is located close to the port and suppliers of other chemicals used in the manufacture of lithium carbonate.
Galaxy will be one of the most competitive suppliers of high quality lithium carbonate in the Asian region.
