China rebar, wire rod export offers rise on costs

China's rebar and wire rod export offers have risen $10 from early February due to higher raw material prices.

Prevailing base offers were at $560-570 per tonne fob for rebar, and $540-550 fob for wire rod. "We have to raise export prices a little so as to offset the increased production cost, though domestic market prices see few changes," said an export director at mill in Shandong province.
