Zhu Jianghong holds a Doctor's degree from Fudan University, Shanghai. She began her career researching the Chinese futures market, before joining the Shanghai Futures Exchange. She has been with the SHFE for 11 years in various capacities, including half a year training in London, where she play a key role of non-ferrous market of Shanghai Futures Exchange. The Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) is a self-regulated entity, and currently has futures contracts in a variety of commodities, including gold, silver, copper, aluminum, lead, steel rebar, steel wire rod, natural rubber, fuel oil and zinc. There are over 200 members now in Shanghai Futures Exchange, among which about 80% are futures brokerage firms. The zinc contract is for 5 tonne lots with a delivery unit of 25 tonnes, minimum purity 999.995% zinc. There are currently some 17 brands of Chinese zinc approved for SHFE delivery.
