Posco joins Vale-Dongkuk’s slab project in northern Brazil

Posco, South Korea’s largest steelmaker, is joining Vale and Dongkuk in Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP), the 3 million tpy slab project being built in Brazil’s northeastern state of Ceará.

The company will have 20% of the $4 billion project, with Vale holding 50% and South Korea's Dongkuk 30%, the Brazilian iron ore giant said in a statement on Friday....
