(AMM) Hrusovsky resigns from top posts at Severstal Columbus

James Hrusovsky, who had been leading expansion plans at the Columbus, Miss., electric furnace steelmaking operations of Russian steelmaker OAO Severstal, has resigned as chief executive officer and president of the division.

Hrusovsky could not be reached for comment.

A spokeswoman for Severstal North America Inc., Dearborn, Mich., confirmed his departure Friday.

"We appreciate Jim Hrusovksy and everything he did for Columbus and our operations there," the spokeswoman said. "We wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
