Kaiser’s Kalamazoo plant start slower than expected

Kaiser Aluminum Corp.’s Kalamazoo, Mich., extrusion plant has had a slower-than-expected start.

The Foothill Ranch, Calif.-based company had said previously it expected the 464,000-square-foot plant, which has two extrusion presses and a remelt operation producing components for the automotive market, to be fully operational by the end of 2010.
