Waxman ‘no contact’ list in bail terms

Former Philip Services Corp. executive Robert K. Waxman is barred from associating with 30 individuals under the terms of his release on bail.

Justice Thomas Lofchik of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in Hamilton last week sentenced Waxman, 56, to eight years in prison and ordered him to pay about $15.5 million in fines after being convicted on fraud and theft charges (AMM, Oct. 21). Just a few hours later, Waxman was released from custody on Canadian $1 million ($984,000) bail by the Court of Appeal for Ontario in Toronto.
