Explosion-hit steelworks ‘not previously associated’ with nuclear weapons programme, NGO says

An explosion at a steelworks in the Iranian city of Yadz, in which two North Korean weapons experts are believed to have been killed, was "not previously associated" with Iran’s nuclear weapons programme, Iranwatch editor Valerie Lincy told Metal Bulletin.

The explosion happened on December 11 and killed seven workers, injuring a further 12, according to Iran’s state-owned news service, IRNA.
Discarded ammunition in a delivery of scrap metal caused the explosion, according to reports.
Some reports also link the explosion to nuclear arms programmes.
