Chinese manganese ore port inventory falls to under 3m tonnes

Chinese manganese ore port inventory has declined to below 3 million tonnes for the first time since 2010 December, lifting market sentiment, market sources have said.

By the end of last week, manganese ore inventories in local ports stood at 2.95 million tonnes, down 45,000 tonnes from the week of April 6, said Mysteel, citing figures from the local port authorities.

This included 1.26 million tonnes in the Tianjin port, 780,000 tonnes in Qinzhou, 340,000 tonnes in both the Lianyungang and Fangcheng ports, 150,000 tonnes in Zhanjiang and 85,000 tonnes...
