Shanghai copper prices inch up ahead of Bernanke speech

Shanghai Futures Exchange copper prices traded in a narrow range on Friday August 31 as market focus remains on today’s annual central bankers meeting.

SHFE December copper settled at 55,500 yuan ($8,740) per tonne, 80 yuan higher from Thursday but down 0.2% from a week ago.
