LME proposes additional load-out rates for non-dominant metals

The London Metal Exchange has proposed further alteration to its rules concerning load-out rates for bonded warehouses following the completion of a formal six-month review of the load-out requirements that took effect on April 1 this year, the exchange said on Thursday November 15.

Under the latest proposals, warehouses that hold more than 30,000 tonnes of cancelled material, with at least 30,000 tonnes in a single, dominant metal, shall be required to deliver out an extra 500 tpd of metals other than the dominant metal if such deliveries are requested.

This will come on top of the increased minimum load-out rates that were enforced earlier...
