CIS billet prices rise $10-15 for remaining January output

CIS billet prices pushed up $10-15 to $520 per tonne fob Black Sea before January output was sold out, sources told Metal Bulletin sister publication Steel First.

CIS producers attracted a lot of demand with their earlier offers of $505-510 per tonne fob, which made them confident enough to raise prices, a trader said.
Russia’s Metalloinvest sold an undisclosed tonnage of its January-rolled billet at $520 per tonne fob Black Sea.
