Storage dome collapse at Nucor DRI site to delay start to plant operations

A structural failure at Nucor’s direct reduction iron (DRI) facility in the US state of Louisiana will delay its start-up until the end of the year.

The incident on Wednesday September 25 occurred when a storage dome collapsed at the facility, the company announced the following day.
