CIS pig iron prices stood unchanged as stable activity continues

CIS-origin pig iron export prices remained unchanged amid stable market activity and atypical Ukraine export destinations, sources told Steel First on Thursday December 12.

Steel First assessed basic Ukraine-origin pig iron prices at $380-390 per tonne fob Black Sea, unchanged from last week. Ukrainian basic pig iron was heard traded at $407-410 per tonne cfr Turkey. Austria-based trading firm Carbones was heard trading the same material at $419 per tonne cif Egypt for a 10,000-tonne cargo with late December-early January shipment.
