AMM MEXICO: Mexico service centres see demand picking up

Prospects for Mexican steel service centres look bright in 2014, underscored by strong demand in the automotive, aerospace and energy sectors, after a 2013 that was less than rosy.

Steel market participants were among those disappointed when Mexico ended 2013 with growth figures closer to 1.2%, after high expectations at the start of the year and early economic growth projections of 3.8%.
