Spanish rebar exporters watching US trade case against Turkey, Mexico

Spain could become a major supplier of long steel to the USA if anti-dumping and countervailing duties are imposed on imports of Turkish and Mexican rebar, market sources told Steel First sister publication AMM.

Depressed demand from the construction sector in Spain and nearby European countries has forced rebar producers there to turn to the export market, with Algeria being the traditional destination for Spanish long steel exports.
