EU stainless steel alloy surcharges for May up $140-266 on nickel rise

May alloy surcharges for grade 304 and 316 stainless steel sheet and bar in Europe have seen an increase of €101-192 ($140-266) per tonne compared with April.


The surcharge increase is due to the recent rapid rise in nickel prices, according to data released by the key mills on Tuesday April 29.
