LME OFFICIALS: Aluminium back below $1,900 as activity slows

Aluminium prices dropped back below $1,900 per tonne in the official session on the London Metal Exchange on Thursday June 26, as volumes sank in the second half of the week.

“It was interesting at the beginning of the week [after strong Chinese manufacturing data was released on Monday], but it has really quietened down now,” a category II trader said. “Aluminium broke through $1,900 yesterday but it’s off today.
