Zinc consumers in USA react to shorter LME wait times

US-based zinc consumers are not rushing to buy material from London Metal Exchange zinc warehouses despite dwindling queues, sources told Metal Bulletin sister title AMM.

Queues to obtain zinc from Pacorini Metals USA sheds in New Orleans dropped to 15 working days in May from more than 200 days a year ago. A source at one zinc alloy maker said the queues in New Orleans have "dissipated almost completely" and getting the material out in a "reasonable amount of time" is much easier than it was a few months ago.
