Brazil's pig iron prices plunge in latest deal to USA

Merchant pig iron producers in Brazil’s northern region of Carajás have seen their export prices to the USA fall by $3-6 per tonne.


One cargo of 70,000 tonnes was sold to US buyers early this week at $412-415 per tonne cfr, sources told Steel First on Thursday September 25.

This was down from the price of the latest reported cargo, which was sold at $418 per tonne...
